Story of a girl (who got new shoes and wanted to get home)
Before going home, Hana lent me her shoes today because mine were wet. :) They're so warm, my feet are now happy feet who never felt so protected. Thanks, Hana! ~♥

While waiting for our car, I saw a black car that looked exactly like ours. So I asked my friends if it was black (because sometimes, from my angle, colors look different) and if the plate number matched ours (because my eyesight is not 20-20 and can't read from a distance).

Chimes said yes.

So I excitedly stood up (with my new shoes) and trotted down the steps towards the car. Then some random kid dashes right past me and hops in.

I gawk and stare and had my jaw open until it clicked that the car wasn't even black (it was forest green), the person in the driver seat was not my mum (it was a guy) and it was not our car.

That was stupid.

Shamefaced (and still a little confused), I returned to my friends who were laughing their asses off and I couldn't blame them cause I was laughing too. Chimes kept apologizing but we couldn't stop laughing at how stupid I looked and embarrassing that was. I'm sure the person in the driver seat saw me staring blankly at the kid. How nice.

Thankfully, seconds later, our black car came. And I was grateful. But on the way to hop in, I saw strangers giving me knowing smiles and giggling to themselves. I have the sneaking suspicion they probably know the whole story. We were guffawing like idiots after. I'd be surprised if we didn't draw any attention.

At least I have new shoes. They don't have protective shoes now, do they?

You really should try her shoes! Even Papaya agrees with me! I should have never bought new ones when I had the chance. Should've bought these kind instead.
