The subject line doesn't mean anything, I just needed a subject line and that's the first word that popped to mind.
I'm back, I was back for almost a week now, actually. I was just busy downloading and watching Grey's Anatomy. XD Japan was awesome. It was also freaking cold. We went around Tokyo a lot because the Kyoto tours were full :( and my dad likes traveling organized. That means if we were going to Kyoto, we'd have to be in a tour and not just taking the trains with the risk being lost. He's too paranoid sometimes. Anyway, my mom wants to go back for Kyoto. XD
But Tokyo was also good. Went to a lot of districts by train. Went to places like the shrine at Asakusa, the Imperial Palace, Akihabara, Ginza, Tokyo Tower, Ueno Park, etc. The Sakura at Ueno were lovely. The way the Sakura trees form an arch over this long road with their petals slowly falling down was beautiful. I even got to see people get drunk under the cherry blossom trees. :3
I also went to a lot bookstores. The Kinokuniya Bookstore at Shinjuku was big--and I mean big. There were sections for different types of reading materials. By section, I mean the size of a normal apparel store in the malls around here, or maybe a little bigger. And if that wasn't magical enough for me, I was amazed even more at the fact that sections could be found at different floors, on different buildings. Wow. I've been to the Kinokuniya at New York and Singapore (and maybe Thailand? I don't remember if the store name was Kinokuniya) but nothing compared to the one at Shinjuku. ♥ I wasn't able to stay very long because my family was dead-tired from all the walking.
We also went to Mt. Fuji where I got to experience snow for the first time since I was smart enough to remember and appreciate it. (I probably bathed in snow all the time when I was toddler and I don't remember a single bit of it. I have pictures though, too bad they won't bring back the memory.) But whoa, it was so damn cold staying outside the bus. XD My skin's not used to very low temperature. Also went to Hakone, got to ride the Shinkansen (bullet train) on the way back. We were supposed to go back by bus again but my mom was very insistent. :D
Anyway, it was really cold. I'm the weakling who wore four layers (no kidding!) of clothing just to keep me warm, and I didn't even feel warm enough yet. I wonder how it feels like to experience snowing. It wasn't snowing in Mt. Fuji when we got there. The snow was already melting away. So I wonder, if I experience snowing, how will I cope? XD
But whoa, I really loved Japan. I want to go back, I hope we go back. It's good that my mother loves it too because now we have a good chance of going back. XD
Sorry, I babbled again just now. For your sakes, I trimmed that already (the last entry was long wasn't it?) so forgive the length. I was in Japan, I just had to babble. ♥
Sadly, Japan came with a downside. When I got back, I found Yul dead-dry on his pot. :( I was gone for barely a week and he dies on me. I even watered, sprayed and pampered them all the day I left. He isn't even four months old. Life just sucks sometimes. I'm so sorry,
dark_depth. :( I'm burying him this weekend, kept his body safe from necrophiliac cats this time.
Lucia isn't looking too good either. She's Hikari's sister after all, I should've expected this. She won't be able to pull another Hikari on me though, not this time. I'll keep her alive. :)
On the upside, have I told everyone that Mr. Teatime had three babies over the seven months I was away? His brother, Mr. Greentea, had his own babies recently. I don't know how many are independent enough to have their own pots yet though. Gonna make them grow more first. :3
I got my Student's Permit a couple of days ago. Spent 5 damn hours in a very hot government office that didn't have enough air and ventilation. LTO sucks, to make you wait 5 hours for a piece of paper that has your picture blurry enough just to recognize I've got the same face shape as the person on the picture.
But I'm (finally) taking driving lessons soon. I don't know when. Just soon. I'm excited but scared at the same time. I've always wanted to drive so I don't have to depend on my family for a transport but I'm also scared I'll bump and kill someone. Oh well. Nippongo classes starts on Monday and I'm excited for that too. Not scared, just excited. XD
Anyway, I've always wanted a haircut, for at least four years now. This summer was my scheduled haircut time. All my close friends know this. However, my dad disapproves. Why? He thinks I'll look like a boy and if I look like a boy, I'll act like one. Some people say I look like a boy with my back-length hair now. He's so traditional sometimes. But I guess I should understand. I'm his only daughter and I've had this long hair since I was a kid. But really now, it's just hair, it's going to grow back. :\
I've already picked one, now I have to convince him it's girly enough to be approved. Wish me luck. XD
LOL, this was worthwhile. A Code Geass and 300 parody crossover of sorts. If you know both, watch it. XD
